The plastic ball indentation hardness tester refers to a device that measures the average pressure per unit indentation area of a steel ball of a specified diameter, which is vertically pressed onto the surface of a specimen under test load and held for a certain period of time.

The TQY series ball indentation hardness tester developed by our company adopts automatic loading, timing selection, deformation acquisition and other methods, and replaces the commonly used digital block display method with LCD Chinese character display. In this way, the operator can perform experimental operations based on the Chinese character prompts on the LCD screen after turning on, which greatly facilitates the user. All parameters of the instrument comply with the provisions of relevant standards such as GB3398 and ISO2039-1:2001.

  • working principle:

According to the relevant requirements of the standard, in a mechanism composed of a frame, loading device, indentation depth indicator device, timing device, and indenter (embedded with steel balls of specified diameter), the loading device vertically presses the indenter into the surface of the specimen under a given test load, and maintains the average pressure per unit indentation area for a certain period of time.
